Verbascum chaixii 'Wedding Candles'
Mullein
This is a scintillating Verbascum for dry, gravel and scree gardens.
The gorgeous, multi-branched flower stems just drip with pure white flowers that have fuzzy purple filaments and bright orange anthers. The perky blooms radiate above pearly green textured leaves over a long flowering period, attracting butterflies and bees to a rich source of food.
Very happy in a low water environment and well drained soil.
A vigorous self sower but that shouldn't be a problem - once you've got one, you'll want loads.
