Telekia speciosa
Heartleaf oxeye
If there's a big bald patch in the garden that you want to fill quickly then this is the plant for you. You'll never have to weed that spot again.
It's a huge ox-eye daisy with very large, aromatic and slightly hairy leaves that look like one of Eeyore's ears.
The flowers are big, bold, brassy and bright yellow adorning this giant from mid-summer onwards.
The ox-eye daisies are not very refined as both leaves and flowers are very simple but they excel at hiding unsightly sheds and fences or where the bins are kept.
Usually they are cast to the back of the border but our garden is a bit unconventional so we have them on prominent display.
