Salvia pratensis 'Swan Lake' (Ballet-Series)
Meadow clary
The 'Ballet Series' of Salvia pratensis are hardy, easy to grow, intensely coloured with aromatic leaves and a second flush of flowers once dead headed.
If you want to grow Salvia but have been deterred by their reputation for being difficult and fussy then start with these.
Developed from a chance seedling they have been bred to give outstanding garden performance in any well drained soil in full sun. Wonderful for attracting bees and butterflies. Swan Lake has mounds of foliage with upright, white flower spikes, very striking.
