Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm'

Coneflower

This is the most popular Rudbeckia for any well drained position and looks stunning when planted en masse.

It features in many gardens that are open to the public as it easy to care for and has a very long flowering period from mid-summer through until autumn.

The huge 12 cm wide flowers are a magnet for pollinators and invite envy from the neighbours too.

It's short enough not to require staking and spreads gently without becoming invasive.

An AGM from the RHS ensures it is a very garden worthy plant which looks rather good as a cut flower. Perfect amongst grasses.
