Rodgersia x aesculifolia, pinnata, henrici 'New Hybrids'

We're growing these as a bit of an experiment to see if we can find something a bit different amongst the selection.

They come as an assorted packet of seed from our main supplier and there's no telling what might emerge. Very exciting.

The seeds are composed of hybrids between R. aesculifolia, R. henrici and R. pinnata.

Hopefully we'll get a nice wide mix of distinctive coloured leaves and assorted colours of flowers. Occasionally this seemingly haphazard approach can yield some real gems but this may take a while as Rodgersia are not quick growers.

They are one of the best foliage plants for moist soils in shade and are a staple of any bog garden.

Watch this space as it will change when we have more information.
