Potentilla atrosanguinew var. argyrophylla  'Orange Starlight'

Himalayan cinquefoil

This is an absolute cutie. A cheeky little plant with lovely bicolored flowers and silky foliage.

It's a close relative of the popular, blood-red flowering, Potentilla atrosanguinea but this one has golden yellow flowers with a darker, orange centre.

Lovely silvery leaves covered in fine hairs make this a very attractive option for rockeries, tubs and the front of borders year round.

Super tough, undemanding yet very showy, this is a wonderful plant that you have to squeeze in somewhere. They thrive in well drained, quite poor soil in sun.

Just shear back after flowering to rejuvenate the foliage.
