Native to the drier areas of the western Himalayas and Kashmir, the handsome grey-green foliage and showy spikes of lavender-pink verticillasters (whorled flower clusters) make Kashmir sage a delight for the summer garden. Very showy, the plants grow larger than Phlomis russeliana but apart from the size and colour they are very similar in both habit and appearance.
Easy to grow and maintain, Kashmir sage is a reliable performer in dry or gravel gardens.
