Miscanthus sinensis var. condensatus 'Cabaret'

Japanese silver grass

'Cabaret' is a tall, densely-tufted grass which typically forms a foliage clump often rising above 200cm.

Each leaf has a creamy white centre with wide dark green margins although occasionally individual stems may revert to green.

Pinkish-white flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences rising above the foliage in late summer.

Flower plumes mature to creamy white as the seed ripens, with plumes lasting well into if not through the winter. Very similar to Miscanthus 'Cosmopolitan' except the variegations are reversed.
