Leptinella squalida 'Platts Black'
From New Zealand, ‘Platt's Black’ is a low, mat-forming perennial with small, fern-like leaves that are bronzy-black with green tips.
It's perfect for planting along the edge of pathways, between flagstones or any old nooks and crannies that need a little softening and retain some moisture.
It is not drought tolerant. Easy to grow in any soil that does not completely dry out and easily divided by digging up the clump and ripping into smaller pieces in spring or early autumn. Evergreen with insignificant yellowish-green flowers that appear in summer.
It will spread readily so keep this away from slow-growing plants that might get overwhelmed.
