Leonurus cardiaca 'Grobbebol'

Motherwort

Motherwort is an Asian perennial herb that has spread worldwide due to its widespread use to treat cardiac and gynacalogical conditions in Chinese medicine.

A member of the very large mint family, 'Grobbebol' is an interesting cultivar of this clump forming perennial with squarish stems, strange lower leaves that are frizzy and curled with spikes of soft lilac pink flowers that bees simply adore.

They are not particularly fussy and can cope with poor soils, otherwise ordinary garden soil will do in part shade or sun.
