Gaillardia aristata 'Burgundy'
A jolly plant bearing masses of huge 10cm flowers with exceptionally rich red petals.
The dark centre emerges yellow and matures to a deep burgundy red. Each petal has a textured ruffled edge with a yellow tint.
The blue-green leaves are narrow and lance shaped.
They look wonderful in tubs or pots, flowering all summer long. Excellent as cut flowers. Very easy, unfussy plants that only need to be cut down to 10cm in autumn to encourage strong basal growth for the following year.
Any soil except heavy clay.
