Eupatorium aromaticum

Lesser snakeroot

Found in dry woods, thickets and clearings in eastern North America from Louisiana to Massachusetts, and as far inland as Kentucky and Ohio.

This is a lovely plant for naturalising in a wildlife garden or moist meadows with tall stems with white flowering umbels, blooming from July to October. The leaves are ovate, with serrated edges.

Pest and deer resistant and good for low maintenance plantings or perennial borders.

Used as a homeopathic remedy for restlessness among other things.
