Dianthus plumarius 'Sweetness'
Cottage pink
No matter how crowded your garden, find a place for this most spectacular little pink.
From its wide range of colours - everything from off-white to deep carmine, to its abundant blooms, 'Sweetness' lives up to its name.
These flowers would be eye-catching even if they didn't lure you with their scent first, their sweet floral fragrance is absolutely irresistible. A single plant spreads about 30cm wide in a sunny spot, its grass-like grey-green foliage forming a dense, weed-choking mat. 'Sweetness' needs full sunshine and good soil drainage, but other than that is quite unfussy about conditions.
