Astrantia major

'Rose Symphony' (Rosensinfonie)

Great masterwort

The product of a German breeding programme Rose Symphony was introduced in 1982 but masterworts have been in cultivation for centuries.

This is a very hardy, long flowering hybrid with masses of rose red to pink bracts. The flowers have a gleam to them, an almost metallic lustre. Rose Symphony flowers profusely from June until September and is a lovely choice for damp, partially shaded areas.

Excellent for cutting and drying.
