Ageratina altissima ‘Chocolate’

White Snakeroot

Ageratina altissima 'Chocolate' is a robust plant grown for its wonderful foliage colour.

The chocolate coloured leaves create a perfect contrast to strong coloured perennials such as Penstemon and Salvia.

The umbels of pure white flowers explode towards the end of summer attracting hoards of butterflies to the late season feast.

It is not particularly fussy about soil or site but does benefit from a little extra water. It will self seed prolifically but the seedlings will not come true.
