Aconitum seoulense B&SWJ 694
A very tall monkshood originally found in South Korea by plant hunters Bleddyn and Sue Wynn Jones.
We acquired a plant from Tom Mitchell (another plant hunter) and have grown a few from seed. They prefer a cool, moist, fertile soil in partial shade but will tolerate sun if the soil retains moisture.
Our garden trial saw them grow to well over a metre with beautiful racemes of pale blue 'hoods' in late summer and into autumn. Staking is essential.
A toxic plant so handle with caution.
